WORKING PROCESS

Naturally, our plastic injection moulds meet the required quality standards. That is why VRMoulds B.V. provides a warranty on all products supplied.

DUTCH MOULD MAKING

Quotation requests are processed within 3 working days. In urgent cases, a quotation can be provided within 24 hours. The stated lead time is the period between approval of the layout drawing and the FOT (First Out Tool).

With the initial layout drawings, we provide advice on the product regarding:

  • Draft angles
  • Gate positions
  • Venting
  • Ejector positions
  • Parting lines
  • Expected sink marks

If the customer has not yet fully determined what the new product should look like, we can also assist with:

  • Product development
  • Product optimisation

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

The production process in China is managed according to a structured plan. Once an order has been placed, we provide the first layout drawings within 3 working days, after which the customer can request any changes. The layout drawings are then updated within 2 working days.
The layout drawings can subsequently be approved for production of the injection moulds. The customer receives a weekly production schedule and progress updates, including photographs from the production process.

The first trial run takes place before or on the agreed FOT date. Within 4 working days after the FOT, the samples are delivered to the customer, including:

  • The corresponding product measurement reports
  • The injection moulding machine settings used to produce the samples
  • A video showing the mould running on the injection moulding machine

This provides all the necessary data and footage for a thorough assessment. Once the customer has approved the results, the mould is shipped.
The price always includes export customs clearance, sea freight and import customs clearance. The standard transit time is approximately 5 weeks. At the customer’s request, injection moulds can also be transported by air or rail. In that case, including export and import customs clearance, the moulds can arrive within approximately one week.

If initial parts are required at short notice, particularly for trade fairs, demonstrations or initial deliveries, it is possible to produce a zero series using the new moulds at the factory where they were manufactured. This zero series can then be delivered within one week.
This allows an initial zero series to be produced at relatively little additional cost. As a result, there is no longer any particular urgency for transporting the injection moulds by sea after the zero series has been produced.
